La Roche-Posay, one of the skin care brands of the L’Oréal Group, originated in the small town of Roche-Posay, where it is produced using the Roche-Posay thermal spring water as a raw material, and where the quality of its products is guaranteed by the strict implementation of European pharmaceutical GMP production standards and L’Oréal’s quality control policy. In 1975, the chemist Rene Levayer founded Skin Care Laboratories, later known as Skin Care Pharmaceuticals, which was acquired by the Loreal Group in 1989.
Skin Care products are formulated with a streamlined formula to avoid allergens to the greatest extent possible. Skin Care products contain an average of only 18 types of ingredients, while general skin care products contain more than 40 ingredients, especially such as the Extra Safe series for sensitive skin, which contains only 10-12 ingredients without any fragrance or preservatives to ensure maximum safety.
